Glowing Collection
I’m always drawn to the sunset’s beauty when the light is golden and shadows are blue. That incredible range of colors — I love to gaze at it., and that was the first subject that inspired me to start to paint. With the Glowing Collection, I tried to capture the mesmerizing colors of Chesapeake Bay sunsets to make them mine and make them last! By applying thick layers of oil paint with palette knives and brushes, I created these impasto paintings. They are very textured, almost three-dimensional!

The Shape of Light Collection
This collection is a series that celebrates the reflection of light in unexpected patterns and exciting colors.
This series started more than a year ago, and each painting represents a beautiful part of the Chesapeake Bay. In these paintings I started with the idea of a seaside vista, and pushed out the boundaries of form to create a deconstructed world with the land, the water, and the sky as crystallized images — where light takes a new shape: even brighter, bolder, and more beautiful than before. The colors and shapes in these pieces reflect a delicate balance and harmony with nature.
